とは

「OPEN AIR SPACE」とは、使用がされなくなった掛川市原泉地区の旧茶工場をアーティストの拠点として解放し、24時間稼働するライブカメラによりその創作活動をインターネット配信・公開する企画です。

数組のアーティストが旧茶工場にて断続的に創作活動を行い、リサーチやスタディから展示に至る過程の全てを配信し、その場で起きる偶然的な出会いや会話、作業場の喧騒から夜中の静寂までも鑑賞の対象として映します。

旧茶工場という閉じられた空間は、インターネットを介すことで、あたかもOPEN AIR（屋外）へと開かれた場であるかのように世界と繋がります。そして画面越しに映るアーティストはその場の当事者として振舞いながら、同時に地域住民の視点では部外者として見える、その代理人としての役割を担っています。

ここで蓄積されるアーティストの知的創造物は、この社会に向けどのような要望を投げかけるのでしょうか。コロナ禍の地方における創作活動の持続可能性か、あるいは地域の空き家問題といった社会的課題解決の糸口かもしれません。その変遷と結果を静観し見守ることこそがこの企画の趣旨となります。

What is “OPEN AIR SPACE”?

"OPEN AIR SPACE" is a project where we open up an empty tea factory for artists' use in Hiraizumi, Kakegawa City, and stream everything that happens in the space, including their creative activities, with a live camera, 24 hours a day.

Several artists will be working intermittently at the old tea factory. The entire process - from research to studying to putting on the exhibition - will be broadcasted. The stream will contain coincidental encounters and conversations, from the bustle of the workshop to the silence of the night.
We will open up the enclosed space of the former tea factory to the whole world via the Internet (hence, "OPEN AIR"). The artist on the screen is a proxy, acting as an insider for viewers while simultaneously being an outsider to the residents of Haraizumi.

What kind of requests will the accumulation of the artists' intellectual creations pose to this society? It may be the sustainability of creative activities in the rural areas amid this pandemic or perhaps a clue to solving social issues in the region such as house abandonment. The very purpose of this project is to watch and observe its transition and results.

松島誠Makoto Matsushima

パフォーマー、演出家、舞台美術家、沼津市在住
Born in Shizuoka prefecture,Japan

日本大学芸術学部美術学科卒業。
1983年在学中よりパパ・タラフマラに参加。舞台美術も手がける。
2006年までメインメンバー、2012年の同グループ解散までコーポレートメンバーとして活動する。
1995年よりソロアーティスト、演出家、振付家として活動を開始。
瞬発力としなやかさをあわせ持った身体表現、ボイス、演劇的表現、空間演出が混ざり他に類を見ないパフォーマンスを展開。
東京での単独公演から、香港、マカオ、台湾、ベルリン、アムステルダム、NYなどでソロ、グループ作品、コラボレーションなどで招待を受け数多くの作品を制作、発表している。
特に香港のダンス・演劇シーンでは最も知られた日本人パフォーマーと認識されている。
2006年よりあらた真央、Mike Nord、Georg hofmannとダンスと音楽の完全即興ユニット、Noru Ka Soru Kaを結成。
ヨーロッパ、アメリカ、アジア、日本各地でインプロビゼーションの可能性を探っている。
2019年より拠点を東京より静岡県沼津市に移し活動。

Matsushima graduated from the Nihon University of College of Art. He
launched his stage
career with the Japanese dance theater company Pappa TARAHUMARA
while he was still a student,
and won critical acclaim both for his performance in television and on stage.
Since 1995, Matsushima began creating his own pieces,
working both as choreographer and dancer. In 1997,
he performed in Zuni Icosahedron's production Invisible Cities in HongKong.
He has toured Asia, Europe, and the U.S. with Pappa TARAHUMARA,
and participated in its Hong Kong production of Spring Day (Haruhiru) in 1998.
The following year, he choreographed and performed in Thunder and

Lightning,
a production by Edward Lam Dance Theatre, for the Hong Kong Arts
Festival.
Matsushima was the artist-in-residence of Zuni Icosahedron,
and after,collaborated with many Hong Kong,Taiwan,China,gearman local
artists in addition to
giving solo performances of his works.
He is also active in the areas of set design.

アーティスト、1987年埼玉生まれ、静岡県在住。2013年に情報科学芸術大学院大学（IAMAS）修了。2015年まで広島県尾道市の「ART BASE 百島」で展覧会の運営に関わる。現在は静岡県沼津市の元印刷工場「DHARMA NUMAZU」を拠点に活動。2020年11月、静岡市文化・クリエイティブ産業振興センター（CCC）にて「菌」や「尿素」を素材に扱い「うろ覚えの肖像」を主題とした個展を開催。

山崎皓司Koji Yamazaki

2019年から活動拠点を東京から静岡県掛川市に移し、静岡県舞台芸術センターSPAC等の作品に出演。
現在は“百の姓を持つ、百の屋号を持つ、百の仕事を持つという意味での百姓”を志し、俳優、狩猟、農業、養蜂、人の仕事の手伝い等をしながら、世界平和への道を模索している。百姓生活を記録したドキュメンタリー作品「Koji Return」をYouTubeで公開中。https://youtu.be/iBRIq2PMrEU

For example actors, hunter , beekeeper, farmer, helping people work, etc….And he looking for a way to world peace.
